Bunnie’s new appearance comes after she revealed on her podcast “Dumb Blonde” that she had the weight loss medication tirzepatide via injections. The podcaster was microdosing the medication and had lost weight as much as it caused her digestive problems.

She added, “OK? I don’t know. I woke up a pound and a half lighter though, but, man, I can eat.” Bunnie wasn’t worried about eating over her calories as she was consuming healthy food such as vegetables. “Like, I’m starving right now. I’m ready to eat again,” she noted.
Originally approved for diabetes, tirzepatide gained FDA approval for weight loss after trials showed it helped patients lose around 52 pounds or 22.5% of their body weight. The injectable medication curbs appetite and enhances the body’s ability to process sugar and fat.

Bunnie revealed her initial fear of taking tirzepatide, admitting she was so apprehensive that it caused her to have nightmares beforehand. She emphasized being entirely natural, with nothing in her system, making the decision to use the medication a significant and challenging one for her. She reiterated that losing a pound and a half after using a small dose was good for her.

However, even while microdosing, she experienced side effects. Bunnie shared, “I also got sick. I felt like I was gonna projectile vomit, so I had to eat watermelon, and then that made me feel better. And, like, today I had a little wave of some stuff, but I got through it.”
Jelly Roll, 39, is also on a weight loss journey with Bunnie, 44, driven by their desire to have a child. The singer is determined to stay healthy and live longer to enjoy fatherhood.

Bunnie revealed that she and Jelly plan to use a surrogate to expand their family. After sharing this, she faced criticism from a fan questioning why she didn’t want to carry the baby herself.
In response, Bunnie expressed her disappointment, “This is so gross. You guys think I don’t want to carry because of my body lol when in actuality I’m scared to because I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages AND at my age, I do not want to go thru [sic] that again nor do we have time for me to do that because our life is happening so fast.”
She also urged people to be more mindful about their words online, emphasizing that they don’t truly know what someone has endured beyond what’s been shared publicly. Bunnie further explained that such comments were a major reason why she has chosen to stop sharing updates about their parenthood journey.
Just like his wife, Jelly amazed fans with his dramatic weight loss, marking a turning point in his health journey under his personal chef’s guidance.

Others pointed out the noticeable changes, “You look amazing. You’re absolutely killing it. I noticed a few weeks ago when I was watching a video how much you have thinned down you can tell it in your body and your face. Way to go Jelly keep it up ❤️.”
In addition to the overwhelming fan support, Ian has continually praised Jelly’s progress during the tour. On September 16, he shared on Instagram that the singer has been “absolutely crushing” his health journey.
“The habits he’s been building are truly life changing and he’s doing this while also changing lives on this 56 city tour. Excited for him to show the world he’s just getting warmed up [sic]!” Ian shared.
Jelly’s commitment to health hasn’t just been about diet and exercise on tour; it’s been a long-term effort. Back in May 2024, the “Whitsitt Chapel” artist achieved another major milestone: completing his first five-kilometer (5K) run.
Jelly participated in the 2 Bears 5K, part of the “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy festival hosted by comedians Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer, and expressed his excitement after the event. “I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” he recalled.

Jelly spoke enthusiastically about the impact he and other larger participants had, noting how many people shared their motivation with him after the run.
He also highlighted the event’s diverse and fun atmosphere, mentioning unique participants like a man in a bear suit and people enjoying beers alongside those achieving personal records.
The experience left Jelly “really motivated” to continue his health journey, and he shared that he and Bert got emotional at the finish line. He also admitted to feeling “a little tired,” adding, “It was a little bit harder than I thought it was [going to be], but it’s awesome, man.”

Looking ahead, Jelly declared, “Next year, a half marathon! We’re saying it now, absolutely!” Leading up to the 5K, Jelly trained rigorously.

In April, Jelly shared how he was working out two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. He also incorporated 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna and six minutes in a cold plunge daily. “I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” he said of his progress.
Jelly expressed confidence and his intention to lose even more weight. “If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour,” he said.

Part of his motivation stemmed from public concern about his health. Fans expressed worry after his Bunnie disclosed that he stepped back from social media due to bullying related to his weight.
Reflecting on this challenging period, the acclaimed musician shared, “I feel incredible. I’m surrounded by friends and family.”
In addition to his personal achievements this year, Jelly continues to excel as a musician. He has already won several accolades from the iHeartRadio Music Awards and Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards. He also received his first four nominations for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.
