Trump set a new record for delivering the longest State of the Union address. What he didn’t mention quickly went viral online.

During his monologue on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon criticized President Trump’s State of the Union speech. The February 24 address lasted one hour and 47 minutes, making it the longest SOTU in U.S. history. The speech focused on immigration, the economy, tariffs, Iran, and other issues, but did not reference the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Fallon highlighted that omission, joking that the Epstein files would call it “rude,” since they allegedly mentioned Trump 37,000 times. According to a New York Times review of redacted documents released in January, there were more than 38,000 references to Trump, his wife, or Mar-a-Lago. Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin later said that searching Trump’s name in the unredacted files produced over a million results.

The joke drew a strong audience reaction and rapidly became one of the most widely shared late-night clips covering the SOTU. Trump has denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein and has not faced charges.
