According to a family member, the performer died on Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee. The news was later confirmed by a relative, although the specific type of cancer involved has not been publicly shared. The actor had been privately facing health challenges for some time, and loved ones described his final moments as peaceful and surrounded by care and support.

Following the announcement, family members shared heartfelt messages remembering his life and character. In a tribute posted on social media, his sister reflected on the impact he had on those around him, writing that she believed he left the world “at peace and surrounded with love.” She also celebrated his creativity and dedication, noting his strong passion for his work as well as his commitment to family. The actor built a steady career in the entertainment industry after first gaining attention in the mid-1980s. One of his early film appearances came in the cult horror sequel Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, where he played the character Pete. He later appeared in the romantic drama 9½ Weeks alongside well-known Hollywood stars. Over the years, he became familiar to television audiences through a variety of roles. Among them was a leading role in the sitcom Flying Blind, where he portrayed Neil Barash, a socially awkward young man navigating relationships and everyday life. Although the series ran for only one season, it featured several recognizable performers and developed a loyal audience.

Later in his career, the actor appeared in several episodes of the NBC comedy Will & Grace, playing one of Grace Adler’s boyfriends.
